Looking for a unique "experience" this summer — that can also offer a AAA discount?
How about a journey to Atlantis? SeaWorld San Diego has just opened the largest and most exciting attraction in its 40-year history: Journey to Atlantis. Based on the legendary tale of the mythical island nation, Journey to Atlantis is a multimillion-dollar project featuring a wet and wild thrill ride aboard Greek fishing boats, followed by an underwater view of a marine mammal many people have never seen before: exotic, black and white Commerson dolphins.
Or maybe you'd like to see the new whale calf born to Kalina, the first killer whale ever to be born and successfully raised in the care of man? The 7-foot-long newborn, weighing in at 350 pounds, arrived in Shamu Stadium at SeaWorld in Orlando earlier this year.
Finally, this summer wouldn't be complete without a thrill ride at a theme park. Six Flags, with its 39 parks around the country, has more roller coasters than any other theme park company in the world. At Six Flags Elitch Gardens in Denver, "Halfpipe" — the only ride of its kind in the United States-gives brave riders countless 360s on a gigantic snowboard all the way to the rim of a 100-foot-tall halfpipe.

AAA's Show Your Card & Save program can make life a little easier-and less expensive-during summer travel. Here are two of the many ways:
- Members who book through AAA automatically receive the best rates at the following partner chains: Best Western; Choice Hotels, including Comfort Inn and Quality; Days Inn; Hilton Family of Brands, including Hampton Inns; Hyatt Hotels; La Quinta Inns and La Quinta Inn & Suites; Marriott family of brands, including Renaissance Hotels and Courtyard; and Starwood Hotels, including Westin, Sheraton, and W Hotels.
- If you need prescription medication while traveling, remember to bring along your written prescription from your doctor and your AAA Prescription Savings card-you'll save an average of 20 percent on prescriptions not covered by other
insurance.
Member promotion extended to end of the year
A free child-safety seat promotion from Hertz for AAA members, which had an original closing date of Aug. 31, 2004, has now been extended through 2004. The promotion saves AAA members up to $45 per week by giving free use of a child safety seat when renting a car from Hertz.
The offer saves families from the inconvenience of lugging bulky booster seats through airports and from the stress of trying to install their usual car seat into an unfamiliar vehicle.
Hertz's trained installers will put the seat in for travelers. Additionally, AAA members can rent infant restraints, convertible seats for toddlers and booster seats for older children, although they need to make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance and ask for promotion #945276, 800-654-3080. They will have to show their AAA membership card when they pick up the rental car.
