 Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Self Service Terminal
Greenwood/Southport now has a Self Service Terminal to renew your Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) vehicle registration. Self Service terminals, which resemble ATM machines, provide users with a customer driven, self-paced process for renewing automobile plates and registrations only. Stop by during regular office hours to process your transaction.
A Partial Service BMV Branch is coming soon in early 2008. A Partial Service BMV Branch provides patrons with complete titling and registration services where visitors can conduct standard, over-the-counter BMV-related business with specially trained personnel.

Perry Township Kiwanis Joins Club in Promoting Indiana Child Passenger Safety
Perry Township Kiwanis of Indianapolis has initiated a concept that will help generate additional funding for AAA Hoosier Motor Club's ongoing child passenger safety initiatives.
Perry Township Kiwanis has agreed to sponsor a paper recycling bin for the Greenwood/Southport AAA office (1309 E. Stop 11 Road). The bin is on site and already receiving recyclable paper.
 100% of the proceeds generated from the recycling bin, which is being provided by Abitibi Paper Retriever®, will be donated to AAA Hoosier Motor Club (HMC) in order to help offset costs associated with child passenger safety seat inspections.
Club technicians inspected more than 900 car seats during 2005. HMC boasts nationally certified car seat technicians in each of its 15 branch offices. Inspections are conducted, by appointment only, for AAA member and non-members alike.
The ongoing partnership is a true reflection of the Perry Township Kiwanis motto-'serving the children of the world'. Scott Splichal, president of Perry Township Kiwanis, calls the arrangement "a win-win for Kiwanis and HMC." Linda Melton, HMC regional service center manager, praises the Kiwanians for "being proactive in their community" and is "grateful for their generous support of our program."
