AAA Hoosier Insurance to Serve as Sponsor of Inaugural
Red Bull Indianapolis GP
Indianapolis, IN (July
21, 2008) – AAA
Hoosier Motor Club announced today that AAA Hoosier
Insurance will be recognized as a Proud Sponsor of the 2008
Red Bull Indianapolis GP motorcycle race, an inaugural event
that will take place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Sept. 14, 2008.
The 3-year agreement
reinforces AAA Hoosier Motor Club’s existing relationship
with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and will keep the
405,000-member club in the forefront of race-related
activities in the Indianapolis metropolitan area as well as
throughout the state.
AAA initially signed on as
the Official Auto Club, the Official Travel Agency and the
Official Auto Insurance Company of the Indianapolis 500 in
December of 2005. In March of 2007, AAA Hoosier Motor Club
signed IndyCar driver Sarah Fisher to a 3-year contract that
made her the official spokesperson for AAA Hoosier
Insurance. This past June, AAA Hoosier Insurance was named
presenting sponsor of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race
at Indianapolis’ O’Reilly Raceway Park July 25 in what is
now called the Power Stroke Diesel 200, presented by AAA
Hoosier Insurance.

associated with what should prove to be an outstanding event
that will most certainly bring additional recognition to the
city of Indianapolis,” said Gary Michelson, senior vice
president, insurance & marketing for AAA Hoosier Motor Club.
“But even more importantly, involvement with the Red Bull
Indianapolis GP provides us with another forum to stress the
importance of practicing safe driving habits to AAA members
and non-members alike.”

The Red Bull Indianapolis GP
will be the 14th of 18 races on the 2008 MotoGP
schedule and should play a crucial role in the overall
season championship.
