Braeburn Village Office Named Permanent Fitting Station

Indianapolis, IN (June 3, 2008) – AAA Hoosier Motor Club is proud to announce that its Braeburn Village office (8120 E. 21st St. – Indianapolis) has been selected as a Permanent Fitting Station (PFS) by the Automotive Safety Program at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.

The club already boasts existing stations at its Kokomo, Avon, Lafayette and Clarksville offices. All PFS locations also automatically qualify as distribution sites for Indiana’s Law Officer Voucher Enforcement (L.O.V.E) program, which provides police officers with vouchers to issue during traffic stops when they see a child in need of a safety seat.

In fact, nationally-certified child passenger safety seat technicians are accessible at all AAA Hoosier Motor Club branch locations. The complimentary service for AAA members and non-members alike is available at PFS and other club service centers by advance appointment only.

Overall, club technicians inspected 1,126 car seats in 2007. In fact, based on AAA Hoosier Motor Club’s continuous efforts to expand its involvement in child passenger safety, additional certified staff-member technicians have recently been added.

Those newly-certified technicians include Peter Rozow, Administrative Building – 3750 Guion Rd. (Indianapolis), Jenny Wright, Speedway service center – 3073 N. High School Rd. (Indianapolis), Andrea Handy, Braeburn Village service center – 8120 E. 21st. St. (Indianapolis) and Nita Campbell, Kokomo service center – 3551 S. LaFountain St. (Kokomo)

AAA Hoosier Motor Club technicians will assist the Marion County Traffic Safety Partnership and the Automotive Safety Program in conducting a complimentary child safety seat fitting clinic June 10 from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Children’s Bureau Inc. Exchange Club Family Support Center in Indianapolis (1575 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street).

All participants will be required to have their vehicle present along with the child being fitted and the respective car seat itself in order to ensure proper installation and instruction.

Those interested in attending the clinic and having their car seats inspected should schedule an advance appointment by calling 317-327-5356.
