Club Now Offering BMV ServicesIndianapolis, IN (October 23, 2007) – Vehicle titling and registration services will soon be available at five AAA Hoosier Motor Club branch offices through a new partnership between the Hoosier Motor Club and the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV). Ron Stiver, Commissioner of the BMV, and Terry R. Farias, President and CEO of the AAA Hoosier Motor Club, today announced the partnership during ribbon-cutting ceremonies at the club’s newly-remodeled College Park office (8751 Wesleyan Road, Indianapolis—near the intersection of 86th St. and Michigan Rd.). The College Park office is the first to provide full titling and registration services, with four additional Hoosier Motor Club offices offering the services in the coming months. As a first step in the partnership, BMV self-service terminals are now available at these five locations, including the Hoosier Motor Club’s offices at College Park, Braeburn Village (8120 E. 21st St., Indianapolis), Speedway (3073 N. High School Rd.), Clarksville (999 Eastern Blvd.) and Greenwood/Southport (1309 E. Stop 11 Rd.). Stiver explained, “When I came to the BMV, Governor Daniels directed me to improve customer service on several fronts, one of which was to offer customers the choice to access BMV services outside of the traditional branch visit. Today we are taking a major step forward through our new partnership with AAA Hoosier Motor Club. I am sure that many customers will appreciate the option of renewing registrations or conducting title transactions at AAA Hoosier Motor Club offices, a trusted venue in which 405,000 AAA Hoosier Motor Club members already transact business on a regular basis.” Farias added, “We’re extremely excited to once again be partnering with the BMV after a 17-year break from an initial relationship that lasted more than 40 years. The revitalization of this partnership makes a lot of sense for many reasons and we’re thrilled for our members. This is truly one of the most exciting AAA member benefits we’ve rolled out in recent times.” The BMV “Customer Choices” program now allows customers to conduct many transactions on-line at mybmv.IN.gov as well as by mail or self-service terminals located throughout the state. In addition to the AAA partnership announced today, the BMV has 89 auto dealerships enrolled in a program through which titles and registrations can be provided on-site. Another new option is the BMV2YOU mobile license branch that was launched at the Indiana State Fair this year. The mobile branch will be visiting community events and festivals, senior living facilities and select branches on busy days. AAA Hoosier Motor Club is a fully tax-paying, not-for-profit corporation that offers a wide range of services. The 405,000-member affiliate of the American Automobile Association (AAA) works for the improvement of motoring and traveling conditions within its 50-county Indiana territory. AAA is the largest motoring and traveling organization in the world with more than 50 million members.
