College Park Now a BMV Partial Service Branch
Indianapolis, IN (Oct.
25, 2007) –
Following a joint public announcement with the Indiana
Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Tuesday, AAA Hoosier Motor
Club’s College Park office (8751 Wesleyan Road—near the
intersection of 86th St. and Michigan Rd., close
to the Pyramids) is now a fully-operational BMV Partial
Service Branch (PSB).
Additionally, four other AAA
Hoosier Motor Club service centers—Braeburn Village (8120 E.
21st St., Indianapolis), Speedway (3073 N. High School Rd.,
Indianapolis), Greenwood-Southport (1309 E. Stop 11 Rd.,
Indianapolis) and Clarksville (999 Eastern Blvd.,
Clarksville)—each have BMV Self-Service Terminals (SST) on
site.
Despite the fact that the
club’s College Park office also boasts an SST, that
particular service center is AAA Hoosier Motor Club’s first
to be designated as a PSB.
A Partial Service Branch
provides patrons with complete titling and registration
services where visitors can conduct standard,
over-the-counter BMV-related business with specially-trained
personnel.
All transactions which relate to issuance of a drivers
license or identification cards must be
completed at an actual BMV license branch. Such transactions
include: new, renewal, duplicate and amendments for driver
licenses; commercial driver licenses (CDL); new, renewal,
duplicate or amendments to identification cards; new,
renewal, duplicate and amendments for learner permits;
written tests or drive tests.
Anyone with questions concerning whether or not certain
transactions can be conducted at AAA Hoosier Motor Club’s
College Park location Partial Service Branch should call
that office in advance of visiting (317-875-4222).
Self-Service Terminals,
which resemble ATM machines, provide users with a
customer-driven, self-paced process for renewing automobile
plates and registrations only.
While College Park is the
club’s only Partial Service Branch at this time, it is
expected that Braeburn Village, Speedway,
Greenwood-Southport and Clarksville will each transition
into PSBs in the near future.
