Quality health insurance coverage is just a phone call away! Your AAA Insurance Agency represents many excellent companies that offer some of the finest programs available. Here are some of the many types of health insurance programs that are available:

Major Medical Insurance for Individuals and Families

Our major medical plans are designed to provide flexible benefit choices, protection against unexpected medical expenses and coverage for preventive services that help you and your family stay healthy. Coverage maximums and options vary from company to company. You may choose the type of coverage that will meet your specific needs:

  • Comprehensive Plans...are designed for individuals and families who want help managing their routine medical expenses plus outstanding coverage for major health care expenses.
  • High-Deductible and Basic Plans...are designed for individual and families willing to take additional responsibility for routine health care expenses in exchange for lower premiums.
  • Medical Savings Account Plans...help the self-employed take control of their health care expenses with a tax-favored savings account and quality major medical coverage.
  • Optional Benefits May Include...maternity benefits, prescription drug card benefits, and opportunities to join Preferred Provider Organizations.

Short-Term Health Plans

When temporary health insurance is needed, short- term major medical plans are available. This coverage is designed for people who are:

  • Between jobs or laid off
  • Graduating from college
  • Waiting for group coverage
  • Dependents falling off parents' health plan

Coverage is normally available from 30 - 180 days. Some plans offer an option to renew for another 180 days. Many options available with a basic major medical policy can be purchased with the short term program. You simply select your choice of deductibles, rate of payment options and length of coverage. Since this plan is not an HMO or PPO, you choose your own doctors and hospitals.

Medical Insurance for International Travelers

International medical coverage is designed to provide you and your family "coverage without boundaries":

  • Short-term medical insurance for U.S. citizens traveling abroad
  • Short-term medical insurance for non-U.S. citizens traveling abroad
  • Intermediate-term medical insurance for all international travelers

Prices and coverages vary depending on schedule of benefits, length of coverage, age of proposed insureds, and type of policy.

Student Select Medical Insurance

Available to full-time college students who:

  • Are no longer covered as a dependant under their parents' plan
  • Attend school outside the HMO and PPO region of their parents' plan
  • Find this plan to be more cost effective than a parent's plan or an individual medical plan.
  • Choose not to participate in a college-sponsored plan

Student Select is a permanent individual medical policy. It is guaranteed renewable and has guaranteed acceptance for eligible full-time college students. The definition of a "full-time student" is a student who is taking a minimum of nine credits at an accredited college or university.
