Airline Update
Authorized documentation for Electronic and Paper Tickets.

The FAA has issued new security measures about access through airport security screening checkpoints. To enter the secured area beyond the security screening checkpoint, you must hold one of the following documents indicating a flight departure on the current date: a receipt for an electronic ticket (including ticket number); an itinerary generated by an airline or travel agency confirming an electronic ticket (including ticket number); a boarding pass; or a paper ticket.

If you do not have a boarding pass, ticket, e-ticket receipt or printed confirmation, and airline issued boarding ticket must be obtained prior to clearing security.

AAA urges travelers to stop carrying luggage onto airlines.
AAA is urging its 42 million members and other travelers to check all baggage rather than carry it on board. If all air travelers voluntarily decide not to bring carry-on luggage onto airplanes, it would have an immediate impact and help to increase the safety and security of the nation’s airlines. AAA is also asking air travelers to be careful not to wear or carry any metal objects – including jewelry, coins, belt buckles or watches --- through airport security checkpoints.

Next Issue: Watch for information on repositioning of cruise ship itineraries and enhanced security measures.
