The Internet TripTik® routing service enables members to create
four-color, city-to-city graphic and narrative routings.
AAA TripTik® routings, the familiar strip maps with the highlighted route, have been helping families plan their vacations for more than 60 years. "We are so pleased to provide members with this service online," said Terry Deutsch, Webmaster. "Internet TripTiks® are incredibly advanced in terms of route and map display quality. That coupled with 24-hour, seven days a week accessibility makes it a superior product." There are two versions of the Internet TripTik® available—an HTML version and a JAVA version. Members opting to use the JAVA version of the Internet TripTik® will also be able to use the "live" map function which allows users to zoom in on areas where they want to see more detailed road and street coverage, and points of interest. Other enhancements planned for the Internet TripTik section of our web site include the addition of door-to-door routings, the integration of AAA Approved lodging and restaurant data, and the inclusion of Canadian cities and attractions. When these new online services become available, they will be announced in upcoming issues of the AAA Traveler.
