With a Federal Stafford Loan through the AAA Student Lending Program, Undergraduate and Graduate Students are eligible to borrow under the Federal Stafford Loan Program. The limit is determined by the student’s status and year in school. Refer to Maximum Annual Loan Limits Chart for loan amount. Applicants for these loans are required to complete the FAFSA and sign a Master Promissory Note with a lender. The Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan interest rate is fixed at 6.8%. The Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan interest rate is fixed at 6.0%. The AAA Student Lending Program can help you lower your interest rate even more.

Undergraduate or Graduate Student attending an eligible institution at least halftime

Federal Stafford Loan interest rate is reduced by .25% if borrower elects to have monthly payments transferred electronically from a checking account. Interest rate reduction will begin when automatic payments start and will continue in effect as long as automatic payments continue without interruption. Interest rate will increase automatically by .25% if borrower does not make automatic electronic payments or if such payments are cancelled, rejected or returned for any reason.
