Important Notice Concerning Customer Privacy
AAA Southern New England and its affiliated companies
are proud to have been providing quality services, benefits
and products to their members and customers for over
100 years. We value the trust that our members and customers
have placed in us. We will protect that trust by respecting
the privacy of all of our AAA Southern New England members
and customers, especially as it relates to maintaining
the confidentiality of any customer information that
we obtain. We have prepared this notice to explain what
types of customer information we collect, how we use
it, and under what circumstances we may share it. This
notice is provided on behalf of AAA Southern New England
and the other members of its corporate family listed
at the end of this notice. It applies to our members,
customers and former customers. This notice applies
only to the customer information that you provide to
us or we obtain about you in connection with financial
products and services provided primarily for personal,
family or household purposes that is not publicly available
("information"). This notice takes precedence
over any previous privacy notices that we have issued.
Our policies and practices to protect your information
In the course of our normal service and business operations
or when we think it may benefit you, we may use your
information responsibly to:
Provide you with the products
or services you have requested.
Offer you other products and
services.
Inform you of products and
services made available from our carefully selected
marketing partners, often with special member benefits.
We restrict access to your
information to our employees, agents or other similar
persons who need to know that information to provide
products and services to you. We maintain physical,
electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with
federal and other applicable standards to guard your
information.
We require our vendors and
contractors to agree, as a condition of doing business
with us, to preserve the confidentiality of the information
we disclose to them in order to carry out the services
for which we have contracted, and not to disclose such
information or otherwise use it except for the purpose
for which such information was disclosed to them.
Collecting information
In order to provide you with the services, benefits
and products that you want from us, and to ensure that
you receive the very best services and benefits and
the highest quality products from our carefully selected
marketing partners, we collect the following information
about you:
Information we receive from
our customers on application and other forms.
Information about our customers
transactions with us, members of our corporate family
listed at the end of this notice and related companies
("affiliates"), or other organizations that
are not members of our corporate family ("non-affiliates")
Information we receive from
a consumer reporting agency (e.g., credit bureaus and
others)
Information we obtain about
customers or individuals using our website or information
we receive from customers or individuals communicating
by e-mail with us.
The insurance agencies may
collect health information about their respective customers
in the course of providing certain insurance services.
The insurance agencies do not disclose health information
about their customers or former customers to anyone,
including their affiliates, without the customers
authorization or as otherwise required or permitted
by law.
Information we disclose
Most of the information we collect is used to help deliver
the services that our customers request, easily and
efficiently. It also may permit us to design and offer
specific products and services that will be useful to
our customers or that provide member benefits, additional
value or discounts. We may disclose all of the information
we collect, as described above, to our affiliates and
non-affiliates, as described below.
Categories of affiliates with which
we may share information
The AAA Southern New England affiliates with which we
may share the information we collect, as described above,
are in several different business areas, such as insurance,
banking, and automobile and travel services. You may
direct us not to share the information we collect with
our affiliates, except information about our transactions
and experiences with you, which we are permitted by
law to share. (See "Your Privacy Choice" section).
In addition, we may share information with our affiliates
if we are required or otherwise permitted to do so by
law.
Categories of non-affiliates to
which we may disclose information
From time to time, we may allow non-affiliates to extend
offers of products and services for AAA Southern New
England members and our customers when we feel that
such products and services may be of special value or
of particular interest to you. These companies to which
we may disclose the information we collect may include
financial service providers, such as banking, lending
and insurance companies, as well as non-financial companies,
such as retailers, sellers of consumer products and
services, travel vendors and independent marketing companies.
You may direct us not to make these
disclosures to these non-affiliates, except in the following
circumstances. (See "Your Privacy Choice"
section). We may disclose the information we collect
about you to non-affiliates as permitted or required
by law. We also may disclose the information described
in the section above called "Collecting Information"
to non-affiliated financial institutions with which
we have a joint marketing arrangement or to other non-affiliated
companies/outside service providers with which we contract
in order for our own services to function properly or
to complete transactions, such as the processing of
credit card transactions. These joint marketing and
outside service providers are required by us to enter
into written agreements with us to safeguard the confidentiality
of our customers information and use it only for
authorized purposes.
For our insurance agency customers
that are Massachusetts residents: Under applicable law,
you may direct us not to disclose for marketing purposes
to non-affiliates your name and address which is collected
in connection with services provided by the agency relating
to life, health or disability insurance. (See "Your
Privacy Choice" section).
Your Privacy Choice
If you limit disclosures of information as described
in this notice, you may not receive notice of future
AAA Southern New England special value-added offers
of products, services and special savings opportunities
from us or our joint marketing partners. (If you are
an AAA Southern New England member, you will continue
to receive our AAA Southern New England Horizons publication
and annual membership renewal information and billing
statements.)

phone number and AAA Southern New England club membership
number in order for us to timely process your request.

on your behalf only or also on behalf of others with
whom you have a joint customer relationship.
