If you are only making a weekend visit to Athens you may want to limit yourself to the city itself, though an evening bus ride to romantic Cape Sounion is easily done, and Piraeus and Kifissia are on the metro. With a few more days, though, there are many other exciting options, available as one- or two-day tours through hotels and travel agents; alternatively, most are equally easy to arrange for yourself.
