Ágios Pávlos (Church of St Paul)
(
Worth Seeing
)
Not all the churches in Athens are Greek Orthodox; this hand some building, which has been recently restored, is the city's
main Anglican church. When founded in 1838, it was in the mid dle of extensive gardens, but now it is surrounded by traffic
at the busy junction of Filellinon and Amalias. Inside there are some lovely stained-glass windows showing St Paul, St Andrew
and a story of the Life of David, among other biblical themes.
