Goulandris Mouseío Kykladikís Téchnis
The beautifully presented Goulandris Mouseío Kykladikís Téchnis (Museum of Cycladic Art), which houses a superb collection
of prehistoric artifacts from the Aegean islands, was established in 1986. The collection, once the private property of the
shipowning Goulandris family, dates from the Cycladic civilization, which flourished on the Greek islands from 3000 until
2000 BC. The figures, carved from local marble, could be taken for 20th-century work; elegant and minimalist, yet full of
powerful feeling.
