Kiama

( Highly Recommended )

One of the closest South Coast seaside resorts to Sydney, just a 90-minute drive, the small town of Kiama has long enjoyed great popularity. As well as good beaches and surfing, the town has a famous blowhole, discovered by whaler George Bass in 1797 on a voyage of coastal exploration, and many historic buildings.
Inland, Kiama is close to the charmingly rural Kangaroo Valley, and the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre within the Budderoo National Park.
