( Do not miss )

This modern South Bank complex includes two important museums - the Queensland Art Gallery, with its fine collection of Australian, Aboriginal, Asian, Pacific and European art; and the Queensland Museum with some particularly good Aboriginal and natural history displays.
Nearby to the south, the large riverside South Bank, parklands (site of the 1988 World Expo) is Australia's best urban park. There is much to see and do here - dining and shopping, an IMAX theatre and weekend markets. The Queensland Maritime Museum is also worth a visit.
