Western Australian Museum

( Do not miss )

Incorporating Perth's original 1850s gaol and an early settler's cottage, this is the state's largest and most comprehensive museum. There are displays on Western Australian mammals, birds and marine life, but the highlight is the Aboriginal gallery. While in this northern city area, visit the Art Gallery of Western Australia, on nearby James Street.
