Grand' Place

Brussels' Grand' Place, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an extravaganza of medieval architecture, as displayed in the numerous guild houses that complement the Place's awesome Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall). Opposite stands the splendid La Maison du Roi (The King's House), which houses the City of Brussels Museum. Events and festivals are held in the square. The Ommegang is an annual costume parade during the first week of July in which the Grand' Place is transformed into a medieval stage.
