Royal Botanic Garden

The Royal Botanic Garden is just north of the New Town. Rhododendrons are the highlight of Scotland's premier garden, at their colorful best from late April to early June. Other attractions are the Glasshouse Experience, where orchids, palms and other exotics flourish in defiance of Scotland's less than tropical climate; the Chinese Hillside; and a decidedly Scottish heather garden.
