TOLLS
There are tolls on many limited-access highways (autoroutes à péage). Collect a ticket on entry and keep it in a safe place: you must show the ticket and pay when exiting. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

OTHER INFORMATION
The minimum age for driving a car is 18 (may be higher, usually between 21 and 25, for some car rental firms). An International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended; some rental firms require them, and they can speed up formalities if you are involved in an accident. A Green Card (international motor insurance certificate) is recommended if you are driving a private car; see page 15 for more information.

In built-up areas you must yield the right-of-way to vehicles coming from a side street on the right.
