Cathédrale St.-Jean
Post-Roman Lyon grew up around the site of the Cathédrale St.-Jean (St. John's Cathedral), a serene and lofty building with
a flamboyant Gothic facade, flanked by a lovely Romanesque 11th-century choir school. Much of the interior dates from the
14th and 15th centuries. The rose windows in the transept are older; their glowing colors first illuminated the center of
St. John's in the 1200s.
