What's On When January February March/April May June July August October/November November December	San Isidro Although the feast day of San Isidro, Madrid's patron saint, is on 15 May, the festival lasts for three weeks. After mass on 15 May, a pilgrimage crosses the Río Manzanares, and locals in traditional dress drink water from a fountain (which has been blessed), picnic on rosquillas (sweet buns) and dance. Theatre, concerts and 28 bullfights, rated the world's most prestigious, are all part of the festivities.
