ELECTRICITY
The Netherlands has a 220-volt power supply. Electrical sockets take plugs with two round pins; American appliances will need
a plug adapter and will require a transformer if they do not have a dual-voltage facility.
RESTROOMS
There are not many public restrooms, although you will usually find adequate and clean facilities in museums, department stores
and roadside service areas. A small charge of 10 or 20 cents is usually made. Cafés provide restrooms for the use of customers;
buy a drink if you need to use them.
PHOTOGRAPHY
The Dutch climate is essentially maritime; conditions for outdoor photography are gentle but changeable. Some museums do not
allow photography; check before taking pictures. Film and camera batteries are readily available from stores catering to tourists;
rapid-developing services also are widely available.
