CONCESSIONS

Students/Youths

New Zealand is well geared up to cater for the needs of student and youth travelers. Tranz Rail has a 30% concession scheme for students on their rail, long-distance bus and ferry services, and Air New Zealand and Qantas New Zealand have a space-available discount (50%) on internal flights for holders of International Student Identity cards. Youth Hostels Association members receive discounts on Newmans and Mount Cook Bus Lines.

Senior Citizens

Tranz Rail and most long-distance bus operators have a “Golden Age Saver” fare, with a 30% discount on the standard fare for those over 60. You will be required to show proof of your age.
