Cape Kidnappers

( Highly Recommended )

The world's largest known mainland colony of Australasian gannets lies 32km southwest of Napier at the southernmost tip of Hawke Bay. These large seabirds arrive in July and lay their eggs in October and November, hatching about six weeks later. The best time to visit the reserve is between October and April.
