Skippers Canyon

( Highly Recommended )

The narrow cliff-side road leading to the remnants of Skippers, a former gold-mining township, is the main attraction here, but only experienced drivers should attempt it (rental vehicles are excluded).
One of two Queenstown sites known for bungy-jumping is near the road's end, at the bridge spanning the narrow gorge over the Shotover River upstream. The Shotover Jet speed-boat thrill rides are in a gorge on the lower section of the river.
