Museum of Oxford

The Museum of Oxford, housed in the Town Hall, has well-arranged displays and gives an excellent account of Oxford's history. Everyone who played a part in the making of Oxford is here, from prehistory through the Roman, Saxon and Norman periods to the present day. The realities of town life, from both sides of the track, are depicted through 19th-century house interiors from residential and working-class districts. “Looking for Alice” explores the lives of Lewis Carroll and Alice Liddell.
