In addition to the times shown above, some shops close between noon and 2pm and all day Sunday and Monday. Large department
stores open from 9:30am to 6:30pm and until 9 or 10pm one or two days a week. Food shops open 7am to 1:30pm and 4:30 to 8pm;
some open Sunday until noon. Some banks are open extended hours, including Saturday morning but most banks close weekends.
Museum and monument opening times vary but national museums close Tuesday (except the Musée d'Orsay, Versailles and the Trianon
Palace which close Monday), while most other city museums usually close Monday.
