The Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos do Porto (STCP) issue a Mapa de Transportes showing both day and nighttime bus, tram and metro routes (available from Tourist Offices). Pay as you get on the bus or the tram. You can buy a 1-, 4- or 7-day travel pass from kiosks in the city center, a considerable saving on single tickets. Porto Tourism issues a Porto Tour Pass, valid for 1 or 2 days which offers free public transportation around the city as well as free entrance to many attractions. Taxis are inexpensive; there is an additional charge to cross the river to Gaia.
