ELECTRICITY
Sweden has a 220-volt power supply. Electrical sockets take plugs with two round pins; American appliances will need a plug
adapter and will require a transformer if they do not have a dual-voltage facility.
RESTROOMS
Public restrooms (toalett) are easy to find. There is a charge of between 1SKr and 5SKr to use some restrooms. Separate facilities
for men (Herrar) and women (Damer) are always clean and modern.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Pack film for poor light at certain times in the winter. With the right equipment, photographs of the Northern Lights (Aurora
Borealis) are possible. Check before taking photographs in museums; it may be forbidden or you may have to ask permission.
Film and camera batteries are readily available from tourist stores. Rapid-developing services also are widely available.
