The following programs help support our employees through various life stages:
Time Away From Work
Paid Time Off (PTO)
AAA’s generous PTO plan accrues each pay period – 21 days the first year and increasing at each five year anniversary up to 42 days. You may use your PTO any way you choose – vacation, personal days, sick days. Part-time associates’ PTO is pro-rated based on time worked.
Holidays
AAA has 8 paid holidays each year. Part-time associates receive 5 hours pay for each scheduled holiday.
Jury Duty
If you are called to jury duty or as a witness, you will receive your regular pay for dates served.
Bereavement Leave
Up to three days paid leave is granted to associate to attend the funeral of immediate family. If you must travel more than half a day, an additional two days paid leave may be granted.
Blood Donor Leave
As part of our Community Commitment AAA hosts blood drives several time throughout the year. All associates are given time off with pay to donate blood. Also, in recognition of your blood donation, you will receive a certificate entitling you to two hours paid leave.
Military Leave
When participating in Active Duty Training, associates receive their regular pay for the first five working days. If called to Civil Emergency Duty, associates are paid the difference between their regular pay and their military rate for the first ten days.
Dependent Care
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
Allows you set aside up to $5,000 a year to cover dependent care (child or elder care) costs. Dollars set aside are tax-free – you pay no taxes when you contribute, or withdraw.
Resource & Referral
AAA’s Life Management Plan can help in identifying both child care and elder care centers. Additional assistance is available for education (schools, tutoring, college application/financial aid, etc.), adoption assistance, and many other life events.
Child Car Seat
AAA provides expectant parents with a car seat at no cost.
Adoption Assistance
Adopting a child is an exciting and often costly time. AAA provides up to $3,000 towards qualified adoption expenses. Full time associates are eligible after one year.
Life Management Program
Offers confidential counseling services to members of your household. Associates are eligible immediately.
Health and Fitness Program
Provides reimbursement for gym memberships, fitness classes, weight loss programs and smoking cessation programs. You may receive 50% of the cost up to a maximum of $200 each year. Associates are eligible immediately.
Lunch ‘n Learns
Lunch ‘n Learn meetings are held throughout the year on various topics such as stress, nutrition and fitness as well as specific health topics. Family members are encouraged to participate.
On-site Flu Shots
Flu shots are provided to associates free of charge on site. Family members may receive a vaccination for a small charge.
Financial Services
Life Management Program
Offers unlimited free telephonic consultations with a financial counselor on issues such as budgeting, debt consolidation, buying or leasing a car, consumer credit, retirement, saving for college, IRS matters and more. You are also eligible for a free initial in-person session. Visits or calls are limited to 60 minutes in length. If further services are required they are provided at a discount.
Retirement Planning
AAA’s Thrift/Savings Plan provider is on-site two times a year for consultations on retirement planning. Various classes are scheduled throughout the day, or, you may schedule a one-on-one consultation.
U.S. Savings Bond Program
Payroll deductions in any amount you choose may be used to purchase U.S. Savings Bonds.
Florida Pre-Paid College Tuition Plan
The Florida Pre-Paid College Tuition Plan allows you to lock in the cost of college today. Guaranteed by the State of Florida, all investment earnings are tax-free. Parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles and friends may elect to direct payroll deductions into a child’s Pre-Paid account.
Legal Services
Provided through the Life Management program, a free office or telephonic consultation with an attorney is available for legal matters. Information on civil or consumer issues, personal or family issues, real estate, will preparation, estate planning and more are available. Continuing legal services are provided at a 25% discount.
