LIVIN' IT UP
IN JAPAN
Japan! I went
there about 3 months ago, and had the time of my life. Most
of the time we spent in downtown Tokyo, and checked out electronical
stores and did tons of shopping and sight seeing! And talked
to the president of Acura!
THEME PARK
HEAVEN IN ORLANDO
Me and my mom
went to Orlando, Florida. We stayed at the Delta Resort. There
is 6 hot tubs and two swimming pools. We stayed there for 4
days and 5 nights. It was so much fun. We went to Disneyland,
Islands of Adventures and Universal Studios. Those places are
so much fun to go to.

& TREATS IN LAS VEGAS
My
best vacation was when I went to Las Vegas. We went to the M&M
factory, Circus Circus and the water park. We stayed at the
Excaliber! It was great!
DANCING AWAY
IN COSTA RICA
My best vacation
was when I went to Costa Rica. . .the people there were really
nice, caring, and funny. Also, every night fro 8:00-10:00 there
were awesome comedy shows. Basically, what people did was sing
to a song, that has dancing to it. I also made great friends
there that will last a life time.
EVERYTHING
FOR KIDS IN MYRTLE BEACH, SC
I'm 5 years old
and love Myrtle Beach. They have an awesome Kids' Club at Sands
Resort with games, lazy river, indoor & outdoor pools, pizza
parlor, ice cream station and a water park. They have Teen Night
for my 13-year-old sister and you get a cool Kids' Club t-shirt
and other gifts just for being a kid.
SAN
FRANCISCO TROLLEY TIME
My
best vacation is when I went to San Fransisco,CA! It was so
much fun riding in the cable cars! The malls and shops there
were cool too. Fisherman's Warf has good fish. Chinatown is
fun and looks like a town in China! Also in San Fransisco is
the Golden Gate Bridge(you should take a sweater if you walk
on it. It gets a little chilly) Another thing in San Fransisco
is a place called the Metropolitan. It is really fun. There
is an arcade in it, stores in it, play places in it, and lots
more. Since I liked San Fransisco so much I am going again in
August! San Fransisco has something for the whole family!
WHITE CHRISTMAS
IN NY
My favorite vacation
was when my family and I went to New York. We stayed at a really
big hotel. It had a gym and a pool. In our room there were three
rooms a kitchen a living room and a bedroom with three beds.
We went to the toy store which had three floors!! We went to
the park too. Since we went around Christmas we saw a tree all
lit up. There were statues of angels all around they were lit
up too. There were so many people my dad lifted me on his shoulders.
We also went to see a play "Beauty and the Beast".
It was so neat there was real fire and everything. I really
liked it since I was 7. At the hotel we would swim in the pool
but I was to little to go in the gym and hot tub. But I still
had a lot of fun.
RESORT RECOMMENDATION
One of our best
vacations was during Spring break at the Kalahari Resort in
Wisconsin. We had a great time. The resort was beautiful. It
had a great indoor waterpark. It is a must see. Over 13 indoor
waterslides. Go check it out. You won't be disappointed.
AROUND
THE WORLD!
I went
to Paris, France. The plane ride was 7 hours long but it was
worth it. We stayed in a very fancy hotel and went to the Eifel
Tower (we climbed it), the Arc du Triomphe (we climbed it),
Notre Dame, Monet's house in Giverny, Versailles and a very
fancy restaurant for dinner. We went shoping along the Champs
Elysees and this summer I am taking a trip to Greece. We are
going to spend a couple of days in Athens and Olympia and then
go see the Greek Islands, I can't wait! Vacations out of the
country are better than vacations traveling within the US I
think.
SEA SHELLS
& SAND CASTLES
My best
vacation ever was going to the beach in Florida. My whole family
stayed at Indian Rocks Beach at a fun cottage. It was like a
house on the water with a pool and everything. I can't wait
to go back to The Blue Heron Cottage to find lots of sea shells,
and make sand castles.
SUNNY PARADISE
July 2000 vacation
to St. Thomas, USVI - with crystal clear, blue water and soft,
white beaches, I knew I was in paradise. My Mom taught me to
snorkle so our daylight hours were in the sun and water. We
lounged in a hammock on the beach and ate at some great places.
We toured the Island and did a little shopping. Best of all
was the snorkling. I am, of course, spoiled now - where else
can I find such beautiful clear waters and white sand?
AAA
VACATION FUN
My
vacation was A BLAST. I stayed in a AAA house for family. We
rented some cars and went to Disney World and the beach. The
house had a private swimming pool! It was also only a few miles
away from Disney World. My family of 13 people went incuding
me. We flew down to Florida. This was the GREATEST Vacation
ever. Thank you AAA..
IT'S ALL ABOUT
DISNEY
My family
went to Disneyland. I have been there three times since then.
I am going to live near Disneyland because that is where my
sister lives and I am going to college there. I recommend you
go there if you haven't. I haven't got lost there yet but its
bound to happen. I get to go there about once every six or seven
years, five if I'm lucky. So go any time you get the chance.

WAS WHEN I WENT TO OCEAN CITY MARYLAND. I WAS WITH MY SISTER.
IT WAS SO GREAT BECAUSE RELAXING ON THE BEACH HAS BEEN MY DREAM
AND NOW IT IS COMPLETED.
MAGICAL
WEEK AT DISNEY
The
very best vacation that I had, was when I was four years and
went to Disney World for a whole week. We stayed at the Dixie
Landings Resort. It was a cool place to go. They had a food
court with food even kids would like. I enjoyed Magic Kingdom
too. My brother is now four and he would like to go. I entered
the contest this month and hope I win the trip to Disney World
for my family.
CASINO WHIRLWIND
TOUR
For my best
vacaition I went to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was so much fun. I
stayed at a hotel called Circus Circus. But I wasnt sapousto
go to the casino so I stayed in a kids place on top of the casino
area.I had $200.00 to spend there.It was like a real circus
with actual shows!I also went to other casinos like for example
the MGM Grand,Ceasars Palace, Excalibur, TreasureIsland, Mandalay
Bay and last but not least Lexus which was a giant pyramid.
At night Las Vegas looks beautiful.I went in an airplane and
from there I could see The Grand Canyon from Arizona.Well that's
all. I hope you liked it. I think that my vacaition to Las Vegas
was the best vacation ever.
FLORIDA FUN
The best vacation
we ever went on was to Florida and to Disney World. We had a lot
of fun on the rides esecially the Test Track ride. It's a very
happy place and I hope to go back soon!
SAND
& SEA
We
went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It was very exciting.
We were on the beach seven days in a row. My whole family was
down there which made it even better. I recommend a trip down
there to anyone!
CHICAGO
IS FOR KIDS!
My best
vacation was in Chicago. My favorite thing was the Children's
Museum at Navy Pier. I also liked eating at Ed Debevics. the waiters
danced on the counters. I also liked the Beluga whales at the
Shedd Aquarium. My mom says take taxis!!!
THEME
PARK FUN IN ORLANDO
Disney
World - My favorite ride was the Rock n' Roller Coaster and then
Small World. Magic Kingdom was my favorite place to be. I really
liked when we used the fast pass. The water parks were awesome.
I really liked everything there and I hope that we can go back
again real soon.
SMORES
IN OREGON
We
went to Lake Quinalt Lodge and had a great time. We had Smores
one night and Sundaes one afternoon. This was free and a part
of their programs. They had a swimming pool and we were the
only ones in there most of the time.
LEGOLAND
CALIFORNIA !!!
This is
in Carlsbad, CA, north of San Diego. I love legos and this is
a theme park built out of Legos and all of the rides are modeled
after legos. It is a great place to go!! There is only one park
like this in the United States and two in Europe. The best part
were the mini-cities built entirely out of lego building blocks.
They had Washington DC, New York CIty, New Orleans, San Franscico,
and more. We also went to The San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Disneyland
in Anaheim and to Tijuana, Mexico.
TEXAS
HEAT!
Me and
my mama went to Texas to visit her niece who is my cousin. The
other side of my mother's family went with us and we had a good
time. We went out to eat at an all-you-can-eat pizza place and
played free games. I've never been on a vacation before and my
mother promised that one day we would go on one. We had so much
fun outside in the garage because up their it was so hot you could
cook hotdogs in a tray outside in that heat. Texas was a pretty
place and I hope some day that me and my mother and the whole
family can take this trip again one day.
EXPERIENCING
A DIFFERENT NATION
My
best vacation was a trip that I and my family took to Japan.
Just getting there was an experience, we flew in a 747-400 airplane,
a very large plane for a long period of time; approximately
16 hours. We were entertained with a few movies and I recall
at least three meals. We visited Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Tokyo
is a very modern city with lots of great culture and interesting
sites. My best time was visiting the shopping center called
"Ginza". On our way to Kyoto by Bullet train, we saw Mt. Fugi,
it was an awesome site. Kyoto was a very hot place - the temperatures
reached the 90s. It had lots of temples and it had lots of traditional
Japanese architecture. Osaka, an older city, was much different
because it had a mixture of traditional and modern styles. Our
hotel was a thirty story building in the middle of a traditional
neighborhood and above a six story great department store called
"Takashimaya" which was located over the modern subway station.
The most interesting place was the "Kansai" International Airport
it is built on a man-made island in the Pacific accessible by
the airport subway which took us there directly from our hotel.
I can't wait to go back hopefully as an exchange student. I
hope any kid out there may have the same chance I had to go
and visit a great place in our little planet.
LESSONS
LEARNED IN PARIS
Christmas
1999, my family (all 5) went to Paris, France. The first day we
went to Notre Dame Cathedral and I got lost from my mom & dad.
When I couldn't find them, I walked six blocks by myself back
to the hotel. I know I was really lucky to get there by myself
and won't try that ever again. The next day, at the Louvre, I
wouldn't go down the escalator alone!
CABIN-BY-THE-LAKE
FEVER!
Well, my
family and I go to a small resort in Merrifield Minnestoa. It's
called Sun Set Bay. It's RIGHT by a lake (ten feet away from the
small cabin we stay in.) My sister and I love the water. We have
a speed boat we take up there with us. My sister likes to tube
and I love to water ski & tube. We stay up there for a week and
sometimes we get my parents to let us stay for an extra day. It
is $500.00 for a week. The fishing is great! The deepest part
of the lake is 39.8 ft deep (We have a water/fish reader thing
on our boat). You can see the bottom of the lake - it's that CLEAN!!!
My dad and uncle like to get up at 4:00 in the morning and go
fishing. Well, I've said enough, but IT WAS GREAT!
WILD
RIDES AT KINGS DOMINION
My
best vacation was when I went to Kings Dominion with my family
and one of my friends. We had so much fun. I even got to ride
The Volcano. It is the best ride at Kings Dominion. We spent
the whole day there and belive me when I say that when it was
time to go my friend and I were not ready to go. I also rode
the Anaconda, it really shook us up. Oh, I forgot I also rode
the Outer Limits - it is one of those rides that definitely
gives you a headache. This was my best vacation ever.
SPECIAL
TIMES AT DISNEYWORLD
This past
spring, my mom and dad took me to Disney World in Orlando Florida
and it was great!! My mom was getting ready to have my baby sister
soon and they took me somewhere special to show me how special
I am. I loved it! I know it was the best vacation ever! We stayed
in one of the Fort Wilderness cabins and took the shuttles everywhere.
We went to all the parks and even went to some places two and
three times.
