Georgia's New Interstate Exit Numbering System

Beginning in January 2000, the Georgia Department of Transportation will begin upgrading interstate exit signs. During this time, the department will also change the exit numbering system from a sequential exit number system, where numbers move up in a chronological order, to a Mile Log numbering system, where the exit numbers corresponding to the mileposts.

This list of the current exit numbers and the new numbers that will be replacing them, effective January 2000, is provided as a transitional aid in interstate exit recognition.
