Baron de Micoud, former governor of St. Lucia, acquired this estate on the island's east coast in 1766. The Creole plantation came to be known as “Mamiku” after the baron's wife, Madame de Micoud. Later a British military post under Gen. John Moore, the estate house was destroyed in 1796 and stood abandoned for 200 years. Mamiku is now a working plantation again. Learn More...
