Opelika was established in the mid-1800s and has a mixture of fine Greek Revival and Victorian houses. From late March through early April the Azalea/Dogwood Trail, a self-guiding driving tour, leads visitors past many of these houses during the peak blooming season of these perennials. A different kind of driving tour can be taken on the 54 holes of the Grand National, a course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Handmade figures adorn the porches and lawns of more than 40 houses in the North Opelika Historic Neighborhood during the Victorian Front Porch Tour 5-day event in early December. Learn More...
