DescriptionAurora is home to the Aurora Reservoir. This municipal park offers recreational activities year-round, including swimming and boating. The city also offers hiking and bicycling trails as well as 16 golf courses. Special events proliferate in Aurora and include Kidspree, in early June. It takes place in the Aurora Municipal Center with live entertainment and hands-on activities for children. Early October brings Punkin' Chunkin' Colorado, held at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds; festivities include hay rides, music, scarecrow building, a pumpkin patch and a pumpkin launch.
