Description
Named in honor of W.H. Biggar, General Counsel for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad, Biggar is the birthplace of three-time world curling champion and 1998 Olympic curling gold medalist Sandra Schmirler. Sandra Schmirler Olympic Gold Park, at the corner of 8th Avenue E. and King Street, features a wall of fame outlining the athlete's accomplishments. The park also has an interpretive walking trail, picnic areas and a playground.
