DescriptionA resort area on the west shore of Lake George, Bolton Landing originated as a Native American encampment on a wilderness trail. It later became the Bolton Landing stage stop on the Great Road. Wealthy families made the area their summer home. Scenic SR 9N runs north and south and is part of a lake shore route through the Adirondack Mountains.
