DescriptionWith a fine natural harbor on the north shore of Lake Ontario, Bowmanville was formerly a mill town. It now flourishes as a horticultural center. Archibald Orchards & Estate Winery, off Hwy. 401 exit 432, then 12 kilometres (8 mi.) north to 6275 Liberty St. N., produces apple wines.
