DescriptionCape North, a Cape Breton Island district on Aspy Bay, is the northernmost point on the scenic Cabot Trail. The 19-kilometre (12-mi.) road connecting Cape North with Capstick on St. Lawrence Bay offers ocean and mountain scenery. Cabot Landing, a provincial park with a picnic area and beach on Aspy Bay, is believed to have been the landing site of John Cabot and his son Sebastian. A trail leads to the top of 442-metre (1,450-ft.) Sugar Loaf Mountain.
