Visitors can see what is said to be the world's largest ball of twine in downtown Cawker City. The ball currently contains more than 8,083,280 feet of sisal twine, weighs more than 20,005 pounds and is more than 43 feet in circumference. Community members continue to add to it. The town is on the edge of Waconda Lake, where hunting and fishing are permitted in season.
