DescriptionFort Duchesne (doo-SHAYN) is headquarters for the Ute Indian Reservation, home of 1,600 members of the Uinta, White River and Uncompaghre tribes. The tribal organization has encouraged many educational and business enterprises to develop and employ its members. Industry makes use of the vast landholdings.
