Description
Fremont is on the site of 1813 Fort Stephenson, where 21-year-old Maj. George Croghan and 150 American soldiers repelled an attack by 400 British soldiers and 300 Native Americans.
Rodger Young Park, on the Sandusky State Scenic River, is dedicated to the World War II hero and to all Sandusky County servicemen and women.
