Description
Glenboro is known as the gateway to Spruce Woods Provincial Park and the Manitoba Desert. At the junction of hwys. 2 and 5 in Camel Park stands Sara the Camel, a 7-metre-high (24-ft.) symbol of the Spirit Sands. The Glenboro Walking Tour takes visitors on a self-guiding stroll which points out many of the sights. Brochures are available at the village office; phone (204) 827-2083.
Slightly northwest of Glenboro on Hwy. 2 is the Stockton Ferry, purported to be the last cable river ferry in Manitoba; phone (204) 827-2252 or (204) 827-2250.
