DescriptionOn the banks of Lake Minnewaska, Glenwood is a popular vacation destination, particularly for summer fishing. On the north shore are Native American mounds and burial grounds containing the graves of Chief White Bear and Princess Minnewaska, for whom the lake is named. Glacial Lakes State Park, 13 miles southwest on SR 28, offers bicycling, hiking, horseback riding, swimming and snowmobiling; four camper cabins are available as well.
