Grafton sits along a scenic section of Great River Road (SR 100) near the confluence of the Mississippi and Illinois rivers. This river town offers antique shops and apple orchards. Autumn is a popular time to visit, when the harvest and fall foliage seasons coincide. The Brussels Ferry, just west of town, provides free passage across the Illinois River into Calhoun County. Recreational opportunities are available at Pere Marquette State Park, 5 miles west on SR 100.
