DescriptionBenefiting from the natural resources of the Yazoo River and fertile river delta soil, Greenwood is one of the largest cotton markets in the United States. Harvest season activities are at their peak from August through December.
The city gained greater notoriety in 2011 when the film The Help was filmed there. Visitors can now take a self-guided tour of some of the locations used in the movie. Pick up a map at the visitors bureau.
