Description
A 330-foot-long covered bridge dating from gold rush days crosses the Stanislaus River north of Knights Ferry. Said to be the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi River, it was completed in 1863 and replaced an earlier bridge that was destroyed by a flood; it is open to foot traffic only.
