DescriptionKnown as “Arboretum Village” because of the town's 1,700-acre Morton Arboretum, Lisle was incorporated in 1852. Lisle Station Park preserves much of Lisle Depot, an important shipping and passenger facility that served the town. The park includes a museum, a historic house and an old tavern; phone (630) 968-0499.
Hot air balloons are launched twice daily during the Lisle's Eyes to the Skies Festival in early July. Concerts, an arts and crafts fair, a parade, fireworks and a carnival also are offered.
