The Fraser River Heritage Walk, which starts at Port Haney Wharf, passes many of the town's notable spots. Kanaka Creek Regional Park offers hiking and horseback riding trails as well as canoeing, kayaking, fishing and picnic facilities. A fish hatchery is on the grounds. Phone (604) 530-4983. Maple Ridge also has a large per capita horse population and an extensive riding trail system.
